Whom should you love first?

This question come out of nowhere while we (my MC team) were a bit chilling after MC-LCs meeting.

And I have to say that this discussion last for around 1,5 hour approx. and it brought me a lot of "food for thoughts" and kind of messed up my mind right now ... That´s why maybe I am making also this posting. Most probably also to come to it back later on.

The conversation was very interesting because of religion aspect. Ali believes in Islam, Þórdís is Lutheran catholic and I am let´s say atheist.

Try to think of follwoing questions to yourself (I recommend to read them over after you get to the end):

If you really love someone so much that you are able to sacrifize something for him/her, should s/he do the same also?
or ...
If someone does sacrafize something because he loves you so much, when s/he asks for a favour later on, should you do it?

Why, even if you want to do it, you don´t do it?

Is it possible to give in reciprocity of the same amount of love you got from someone?

If you really really love someone, should s/he be first of your priority?

If you believe in God, do you believe he loves you?

If yes, is he your first priority? If no, why? Does he have to be (or want to be) the first one?

What if God is a love ... who should be loved first then?

If God is a love which is in your heart, is it you who should be loved first?

What does it mean to love myself? How does it show? Isn´t it perceved as a selfishness?

Let´s say that a man is created by a God. Do you think that the God accept that we do mistakes, because he made us like that?

Are we "allowed" to make mistakes towards the one we love the most?

If we do mistakes to be able to learn from them for the future, why we do sometimes the same mistakes again?

Pretty hard thoughts coming, right? I have to say that we have been challenging each others point of view and I guess I am still a kind of roman catholic. I guess some pieces of the belief from my childhood are still somewhere in me. I feel really strange now, seriously.

And even more after Ali told us story of his grandfather. He knew that he is gonna die that particular day and all that day he was smiling all around him. Why? I guess that he wasn´t afraid of the death, he was looking forward for what is coming ...

Afterwards Ali said that when he thinks of his birthday which he has in couple of day, that basically you can say that he is closer to death because he´s getting older. But why to be scared of that? You never know when you die. Why to scare yourself in advance for something what is coming who knows when. You should rather live your life fully and enjoy every moment you breath!

I suddenly realized that I am not really living the life I want to. I have to think very much how I am going to change the things I do and I don´t want to and I don´t and I want. I think I will not sleep really well tonight. It´s too much what´s going on in my mind now. But I believe that it´s going to help me to make my mind clear.

Well, I hope that you got some thoughts also. I would love to share them with you.

Keep in mind, that love is an important part of your life. So, don´t forget to say and show that you love!
