AIESEC Partners Awards (APA) Evening - 3.4.

In my home LC Ostrava there is tradition of doing once a year the fancy evening for all exchange and other partners of the LC to thank them for the cooperation.

I was asked to do there the presentation of my stay in Iceland as the MC members. I was really neverous, seriously. I am not the preson who likes to talk about myself in some really beautifull words, how usefull I was and what everything great I did. But anyways I managed to create some power point with some data and nice pictures of AIESECers and Iceland and talked around it. I think people liked it. I got some positive feedback so I hope it was not that bad J.

After the oficial part, where the speeches were held, trainees and Erasmus students .. and me, did small Global Village presentation. I was proud of being „icelander“ again!

I really like that event, seeing so many company and organizations representatives (over 80).

Easter Monday - 9.4.

Well, we have some traditions during the Easter Holiday, the most known is whiping the girls on Easter Monday to bring them the spring into the body J. After whipping, guys get coloured eggs, some chocolate, sometimes small money and older guys also something stronger.

Oh right, u guys have really fun during this. But what about us, poor girls? :) We have the chance to pay it back next morning by pooring some water over the man head. Now u like it, hm?

And what abt me? I decided not to participate in this tradition any more, its silly and anyways, apart from family members and some collegues from my mums work, noone would come. I got whipped by our family members and that was enough. :)

We visited our grandfather who just got back from his 3-week stay in the hospital. Although they didnt find what is wrong with his stomach, he is now back home and starts feeling better. Funny thing about his stay in the hospital was, that at the same time another family member - my aunt and her boyfriend ended up there as well. So at least they could visit each other and not being bored all the time. Both of them are also alright now.

NatCo. 13.-15.4.

In traditional site - Seč u Pardubic, was held national conference of AIESEC Czech Republic. I decided to participate although I am already in AIESEC for a long time and there are not many things I wouldnt know about. But I took it rather as meeting old friends, getting to know more current members of AIESEC Ostrava and seeing how outgoing and incoming MC teams are doing :)

It was nice to see my old-aiesec friends, but there were not so many as I expected. Almost all of them are now finishing their masters and/or working already.

There was also one evening at the conference where the LCs and individuals were awarded for their all year work. AIESEC Brno was elected as The Best LC, AIESEC Karviná was elected for Sustainable Growth and AIESEC Ostrava got price for External Positioning.
